Day Charters
The ultimate sportsfishing in Northern Australia’s pristine bluewater
destinations.
Our
day charters travel up to 50 kms from Darwin to some of the best fishing
locations in the Top End of Australia. All fishing equipment is provided
- we even bait your hooks if required.
Whether you are booking as an individual or with a group of up to 20
people, Equinox Fishing Charters will provide an experience you will never
forget! Our aim is to give you an unforgettable day's fishing - whether
you are a beginner or an experienced angler.
Your
day charter includes:
- Morning and afternoon tea
- A smorgasbord lunch
- Cheese and fruit platter
- Chilled soft drinks and water
- Penn & Wilson fishing rods with Tekota 700, Penn 320 and Shimano
TLD 20 & TLD 25 reels, bait and ice
Note: (All tackle supplied on a replace if lost or damaged
basis)
What to bring:
A hat and long sleeve cotton shirt
- Camera
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Alcohol – Mid to Light strength Beer (preferably no glass)
Your day begins at 7.00am when we leave from Cullen Bay Lock and head
northwest to some of our favourite fishing spots. We will anchor on various
reefs and wrecks throughout the day including:
- Middle Reef
- Fish Reef
- Lorna Shoals
- Bass Reef
- Charles Point
We
target the whole range of reef fish in the Top End including Golden
Snapper, Rock Cod, Tricky Snapper,
Jewfish, Coral Trout, Red Emperor,
Stripeys and many more. We will also put baits out for
Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Cobia and Giant Trevally.
Any fish you choose to keep will be cleaned, gutted and gilled and we
are happy to freeze your fish if you wish to take your catch home. Airline
approved freight boxes are for sale if you wish to fly your fish back
home.
We return you to Cullen Bay by 5.00pm.
Equinox Fishing Charters strictly adheres to all Northern Territory amateur
fishing regulations and bag limits. We care about the future of our fish
stocks and encourage a catch and release policy.
